In the Western Algarve region, you can find prodigious archaeological sites waiting to be explored. By identifying the region’s most intriguing archaeological sites, we can better understand the evolution of human adaptations and settlement, from prehistory to recent history. By systematically collecting written records, as well as archaeological and paleoanthropological data, we increase our knowledge of the existing archaeological heritage. With each discovery, we come ever closer to unravelling the mysteries of our ancient ancestors and their remarkable journey through time.
